Barbera d'Alba - doc
As stated in the Malabaila family Archives collection n. 69
regarding the bought of this vignard from Bernardo and
Ludovica count Roero during the year 1583.
It is, with Nebbiolo, the most typical grape of Piedmont,
carachterized from its thik skin, it produces a top-quality
wine.
Its scent is slight and delicate, fruity, its colour, red and
a bit violet when young, becomes ruby red through ageing.
It has a very good longevity.
Gastronomic accompaniments:Barbera d'Alba Mezzavilla is connected with tasty and spicy cooking, expecially piedmontese cooking, but is very appreciated with sophisticated international expecialities, game and red meat.
Serving temperature 16/18 degrees.
