In the year 1583 it appears in the register of possessions of Count Daniele Malabaila: “La masseria della Volta, terra aratoria, terra con viti e gerbido con la cascina dentro, coerenti le fini di San Damiano e Priocca, la qual pezza di terra con viti gionge di dentro la Gardesana sino al prato del Giardino”
